Recruitment / Placement Officer - West London University is seeking an experienced Recruitment / Placement Officer to support their Placement and Employment Services team at their West London campus. This is a temporary role starting ASAP for an initial 4 to 6 week period and will pay £15.50 per hour. The main responsibilities of the Recruitment / Placement Officer will include; To deliver advice and guidance to students, employers and wider university staff on the placement offering and processes, specifically with their Media and Music internship courses. To work within the Placements & Employment Services to provide a professional and responsive advice and guidance to both students, schools/colleges and employers. To work in partnership with Schools/Colleges within the university to facilitate and support students into UK and international placements and jobs. To source and process high volume placement and employment opportunities, monitor and track student placement activity, provide information and advice on employment related issues using a range of IT for information and marketing purposes. To work with the wider Placement & Employment Services team in organising and sourcing employers for specific school/colleges industry events/fairs. The ideal Recruitment / Placement Officer will have the following knowledge, skills and experience: Degree or equivalent work experience in a similar role Excellent customer service skills, ideally developed in a commercial context Experience of building relationships and working with employers Experience of using and maintaining database systems Experience of working in higher education Experience of working in a recruitment environment and knowledge and understanding of recruitment processes Knowledge and understanding of employment legislation and employment rights Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and strong relationship building skills Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines Ability to use IT for, presentations, internet communication (including social media), database management A commitment to equal opportunities and working with a diverse range of people A knowledge of the creative industry would be advantageous.
